Tottenham Hotspur could have a number of new faces in their senior side next season, so pre-season is vital for them.
The two sides met in a training centre friendly match and Mauricio Pochettino’s side ran out comfortable winners thanks to goals from Nabil Bentaleb, Danny Rose, Nathan Oduwa and Josh Onomah.
The match allowed some new faces to experience their first action as Tottenham players, with summer signings Kevin Wimmer and Kieran Trippier both involved.
As seen through Onomah and Oduwa’s contribution there was also the chance for some of the next generation of Spurs players to impress and Vorm had his say on both in his post-match interview.
“It’s very important for the new players to get involved on the pitch because it’s obviously new for them and everybody needs to get used to each other,” the Dutchman told tottenhamhotspur.com, “and obviously the young boys have worked hard and got their minutes today as well, so that’s great.”
Tottenham have impressed with their summer signings to date, bringing in Toby Alderweireld as well as Trippier and Wimmer, but there is still plenty of work to be done with the midfield needing improvements and a new striker surely a must considering the poor form of Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado last season.
