Aston Villa striker Libor Kozak has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at featuring for the first team on Saturday.
The 26-year-old played in the Villans’ pre-season friendly against Fulham at the Estadio Da Nora.
The Czech Republic international came on at half time and scored for Villa 11 minutes into the second half.
Kozak’s goal was not enough for Villa to win, though, as Championship side Fulham secured a 3-1 victory over the Premier League outfit.
It was the former Lazio striker’s first senior goal in 19 months, and he was understandably overjoyed with it.
The former Opava man posted the following message on Twitter, with Villa fans responding to him:
Kozak has been on the books of Villa since 2013, but he has struggled to make an impact at Villa Park so far.
However, a good pre-season could help the Czech recover his confidence and prove to manager Tim Sherwood that he can play an important role for the Villans during the 2015-16 campaign.
