Gary Neville has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the news that Manchester United have signed Matteo Darmian.
During his time at Torino, Darmian established himself as one of the better full-backs in Serie A.
The former AC Milan man featured in 33 league games for the Turin outfit last season, scoring two goals and creating 39 chances in the process.
The 25-year-old had a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 37%, and won 24 headers, 29 dribbles and 61 tackles.
Former United defender Neville is delighted with the signing of Darmian and has made the following post on Twitter:
I like the Darmian signing. Watched him a lot in planning for Italy. If he can transfer his form and settle in then he will be very good.— Gary Neville (@GNev2) July 12, 2015
Darmian is United’s third signing of the summer following the recruitment of attacker Memphis Depay from PSV and midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich.
