The 20-year-old has made it very clear he wants to leave Anfield this summer and Aldridge is relieved the transfer saga now looks like it is coming to an end.
According to the former Liverpool striker, Sterling and his agent both win - and so do the Merseyside club.
Aldridge has warned, though, that Liverpool must spend wisely and recruit a proven goalscorer now, something they are very much lacking as part of a large yet unbalanced squad.
Thank god that saga is all done and dusted with.He gets his 150k a wk and his agent gets his pension! We need a proven scorer now!!!— John Aldridge (@Realaldo474) July 12, 2015
Aldridge continued, tweeting that Queens Park Rangers benefit from the deal, while former Liverpool defender Rob Jones also weighed in.
According to Jones, Sterling will miss the Reds more than they will miss him.
Don't forget folks we got 50m for FT!!!49 -20% for QPR IS NOT BAD.Spend wisely.— John Aldridge (@Realaldo474) July 12, 2015
However, former QPR man Hogan Ephraim believes it is a 'good deal' for everyone and has warned of ex-Liverpool players criticising Sterling on Twitter.
While some are being far too critical of Manchester City and the winger himself, Ephraim's tweets show he is a little too biased in favour of the ex-QPR star.
Raheem be aware for ex players (especially Liverpool legends) to hammer you for leaving. I can't see what the fuss is. Good deal all round.— Hogan Ephraim (@HoganEphraim) July 12, 2015
