Jordan Williams impressed in his first outing for Swindon Town.
Swindon Town fans saw their first glimpse of Liverpool loanee Jordan Williams in action on Saturday as the Welshman featured in the first-half of the Robins' 4-0 defeat at the hands of Everton.
After a goalless first half, Kevin Mirallas struck twice in the second before late efforts from Romelu Lukaku and Conor McAleny helped the Toffees get through their first fixture since the end of last season.
Williams, who can play either in central defence or midfield, starred at centre-back throughout the first 45 minutes for the League One outfit.
The 19-year-old looked a real presence as he operated in the Robins' back-three. He offered an element of physicality, while remaining composed both on and off the ball, in what could have been a difficult first test in North Wiltshire.
Williams was a regular member of Michael Beale's Under-21s last season, while he also made his first-team debut in the Capital One Cup against Middlesbrough last September, scoring a penalty during the shoot-out victory.
Later in the campaign, he made a temporary move to Notts County where he featured on eight occasions.
Williams will be hoping for a fruitful season at the County Ground, from which he will look to push on and establish himself in Brendan Rodgers' first-team set-up at Anfield.
