Valon Behrami has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at joining Watford.
The Switzerland international midfielder has moved to the newly-promoted Premier League club from Hamburg on a three-year contract, as announced on the Hornets’ official website.
The 30-year-old is delighted to have put pen to paper and has posted the following message on Twitter:
This will be Behrami’s second spell in the Premier League, having featured in the top tier of English football with West Ham United between 2008 and 2011.
The former Genoa midfielder has injury problems during his spell at West Ham, but he was still a success at the Boleyn Ground.
Behrami left West Ham for Italian club Fiorentina, and went on to play for Napoli before moving to German club Hamburg in 2014.
The former Lazio midfielder created seven chances in 22 Bundesliga appearances for Hamburg last season.
Behrami had a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 11%, and won 49 headers, 14 dribbles and 75 tackles.
