Watford are interested in signing former West Ham United attacking midfielder Alessandro Diamanti this summer, according to The Sun.
Diamanti is on the books of Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande at the moment, having joined them from Italian outfit Bologna in February 2014.
The Italy international played on loan for Fiorentina during the second half of the 2014-15 campaign, and, according to The Sun, newly-promoted Premier League outfit Watford are interested in recruiting him this summer.
Diamanti is a good player, and he would indeed be a good signing for Watford, who will be aiming to stave off relegation from the Premier League next season.
The 32-year-old has vast experience, and the fact that he has played in the Premier League with West Ham before will also be a positive factor.
Age will be a concern to some, but the former Livorno and Brescia star’s creativity will be an asset for the Hornets.
