Gary Lineker reacts on Twitter to Bastian Schweinsteiger news, Danny Higginbotham responds

Bastian Schweinsteiger Injured In Bayern Munich Training

Manchester United’s signing of Bastian Schweinsteiger is hailed by former Tottenham Hotspur and Everton striker Gary Lineker.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Everton striker Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the news that Bastian Schweinsteiger will join Manchester United.

United have announced on their official website that they have agreed a deal with Bayern Munich to sign the Germany international midfielder this summer.

The 30-year-old has yet to agree personal terms and undergo a medical, but it seems that he will feature for the Red Devils next season.

Lineker believes that Schweinsteiger is a great signing for Louis van Gaal’s side, with former United defender Danny Higginbotham backing him.

Schweinsteiger has suffered with injury problems of late, but he remains a world-class midfielder when fit.

The 2014 World Cup winner has worked with Van Gaal before, which means that the United boss knows what to expect from him.

An all-round midfielder, the 2013 Champions League winner will be a force to be reckoned with for United.
