Former Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye was linked with West Ham United before his move to Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the signing of Yohan Cabaye.
The France international midfielder has joined Palace from French club Paris Saint-Germain on a three-year contract.
According to BBC Sport, the Eagles had to pay Ligue 1 champions PSG a club-record transfer fee of £10 million.
Cabaye is a proven Premier League player, having had a successful time in England during his spell at Newcastle United.
The 29-year-old was one of the better midfielders in the Premier League during his time with Newcastle, and the Palace fans will hope that he recovers his form and starts his tenure at Selhurst Park with a bang.
Cabaye was also linked with a move to West Ham United this summer, with The Mirror claiming last month that the Hammers were keen on the former Lille star.
Following Cabaye’s transfer on Friday, Palace and West Ham fans took to Twitter to have their say.

@NUFC_Vine #cpfc finished 10th last season. It won't be top 5 this time round, but we can stay in the top half & Cabaye will help us do that

Cabaye deal is looking imminent. Great signing for the club. Gutted West Ham didn't chase him thoroughly though #whufc #coyi #cabaye #CPFC

If true, for 100k pw, Palace are very much welcome to Cabaye. Great player but far better deals to be had considering his age. #COYI

If song isn't going to be fit for a while. Surely we have missed a trick by not getting cabaye. Depth already starting to crack #whufc #coyi
