Steve Parish reacts on Twitter to Yohan Cabaye signing

Former Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has joined Crystal Palace from Paris Saint-Germain.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at the signing of Yohan Cabaye.

The France international midfielder has joined Palace from French club Paris Saint-Germain on a three-year contract.

According to BBC Sport, the Eagles had to pay Ligue 1 champions PSG a club-record transfer fee of £10 million.

Parish is overjoyed to have secured the services of the former Newcastle United star and has posted the following message on Twitter:

Palace are an ambitious club, and the fact that Parish has stated that more signings will be made should excite the fans.

Under former Newcastle manager Alan Pardew, the Eagles have become a much better team who play good football.

The signing of Cabaye is a statement of intent, and one should not be surprised if Palace make a couple of more such brilliant signings before the start of the 2015-16 campaign.
