PSV have announced on their official Twitter page that they have reached an agreement with Newcastle United over the transfer of Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Dutch club have tweeted that the 24-year-old has left the club’s hotel in France for Newcastle in order to negotiate personal terms and undergo a medical at the Premier League outfit.

Wijnaldum is one of the better players in the Eredivisie and helped PSV win the league title last season.
The former Feyenoord midfielder scored 14 goals and created 41 chances in 33 Eredivisie games during the 2014-15 campaign.
The 24-year-old had a pass accuracy of 84% and a shot accuracy of 54%, and won 17 headers, 63 dribbles and 26 tackles.
Other interested clubs
According to a report in The Daily Mail last month, Sunderland want to sign the 24-year-old, while Premier League rivals West Ham United, Swansea City and Southampton could also be interested (as per the same report).
A recent report in The Shields Gazette claimed that Everton are interested in the midfielder.
