Highly-rated Liverpool youngster Jerome Sinclair sends cryptic tweet regarding future plans

Liverpool striker Jerome Sinclair has cast doubt over his Anfield future on Friday afternoon.

Liverpool striker Jerome Sinclair has posted something of a cryptic tweet on Friday afternoon.

Sinclair made his Premier League debut as a substitute against Chelsea last term, having played only once during a loan spell at Wigan Athletic earlier in the campaign.

Back in May, the Reds were talking to the player about a new contract, as per the Daily Mail. However, the his latest comments - which can been seen below - suggest a new challenge could be on the horizon.

Sinclair's message on Twitter read: "Sometimes things just aren't meant to be! Exciting times though! New chapter pending, Can't wait to see where this year takes me."

The 18-year-old, who is the youngest player to ever feature for the club, is highly-rated at Anfield. However, it was expected that he would seek another loan move ahead of the new season.

Nonetheless, the cryptic nature of his most recent comments will leave the Anfield faithful pondering two outcomes:

Either he has secured a loan deal ahead of the new season, despite hoping for a first-team chance with Liverpool next term, or he has today decided to seek a permanent switch away from the club, with the ambition of furthering his career.
