The midfielder also believes that keeping everyone fit will boost a potential title challenge next season.
The former Chelsea goalkeeper joined the Gunners last month after weeks of speculation regarding a possible move across London.
It eventually came about after he found his game time at Stamford Bridge severely limited last season, with youngster Thibaut Courtois returning from his loan spell at Atletico Madrid and impressing to take the number one spot for himself.
That has obviously benefited Arsenal, though, as they moved quickly to secure Cech and improve one of the weaker areas in their ranks. Ramsey is among those enthused by the new signing and sees the Czech Republic international becoming a key figure for Arsenal.
“He’s a great signing, I can only see good things coming from him and having an effect on this team,” he told Sky Sports.
“Obviously he’s been there and done everything with Chelsea. He has a lot of experience in the big games, which is only going to help us, and he’s a top class goalkeeper. He still has a lot of qualities and can offer a lot to this team.”
A potential title challenge
The signing of Cech has led some to believe that Arsene Wenger’s side have taken a big step towards being potential title challengers next season.
They finished last season in exceptional style, with a productive run from January seeing them become the Premier League’s form side and secure a second successive FA Cup triumph.
Ramsey says if they can keep everyone fit in 2015/16, he is confident they can have another successful season in the months ahead.
“We have a great squad at the moment,” he added.
“As long as we keep everyone fit I think our form in the second half of the season was what you need throughout the season to compete. We know we have the players are the quality to hurt other teams and to take points and hopefully we can have a successful season. “
