West Ham United's drive for success in their new Olympic Stadium era does not look like slowing down anytime soon, with the London outfit prepared to invest further over the coming summer months.
Amid reports linking them with a number of high-profile players, the Hammers have emerged as somewhat surprise favourites to sign Everton's Kevin Mirallas. According to Sky Bet's latest odds, Slaven Bilic's side are 2/1 favourites to sign the winger, should the Belgian midfielder leave Goodison Park this summer, while he is priced at 5/6 to stay with the Toffees beyond the current window.
Mirallas experienced a turbulent 2014/15 season with Everton, in which he ultimately failed to hit top gear. Despite scoring seven goals in 29 appearances and weighing in with one assist, off-field problems – particularly surrounding his long-term future at the club – seemed to distract the 28-year-old throughout the Premier League campaign.
With their bid to establish themselves as a force in Europe, ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium in 2016, Mirallas would be a fine addition to the Hammers' continually improving squad. However, the pacey winger is just one of a number of household names that the club are being linked with this summer.
According to the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be interested in his services, following on from their earlier approach in January. With only a year left on his current deal at Goodison, Mauricio Pochettino's club - priced at 3/1 as second favourites - are reported to have lined up the Belgian international in a bid to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
