HITC Sport understands St Johnstone are the latest club to join the chase for highly-rated Northern Ireland hot-shot Ross Clarke.
HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that St Johnstone are weighing up a move for Linfield winger Ross Clarke.
Clarke has been attracting admiring glances from clubs in England and Scotland after impressing for Linfield in the Northern Ireland Premiership last season.
Scouts from clubs in England and Scotland have cast their eye over Clarke by making several trips to Windsor Park to monitor his progress.
The likes of Sheffield United and Swindon Town have been credited with an interest in Clarke and now Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone are ready to enter the race for the skilful wide man.
Saints boss Tommy Wright is aware of his fellow Northern Irishman's talents and he could be ready to offer him the chance to move to McDiarmid Park.
Linfield boss and former Northern Ireland international Warren Feeney admitted in March that a number of clubs from England had made enquiries about Clarke.
"There has been some interest in him and I've taken a few phone calls about the lad, but I think Ross is at the right club now," said Feeney in the Belfast Telegraph.
"He can continue to have a good career at Linfield and if the enquiries turn into offers then we will look at them."
