The young defender has taken part in Liverpool training following his move to Anfield.
Joe Gomez signed for Liverpool towards the end of June, and he is starting to take part in senior training sessions.
The young defender moved from Charlton Athletic, with whom he started his career. An 18-year-old centre-back, he made 24 appearances for the Addicks, and is considered a really bright prospect for the future of English football.
A youth international for Three Lions, he has been capped at every level from Under-16 to Under-19, and is expected to make the step up to Under-21 level in the coming year - despite his young age.
There are no indications as to how Gomez will feature for the Reds this season, with a loan a possibility for the young defender. He has already shown his quality at Championship level, and a loan back to the second tier could aid his development.
However, he has been training with the first-team, and it appears as if Brendan Rodgers is keen to establish him in the senior set-up as soon as possible.
Although pre-season training is a mixture of youth and senior players, as shown by the photo of Gomez taking on Joao Carlos Teixeira above, he has also been looking to hold his own against consistent first-team players - such as Rickie Lambert.
The 2015/16 campaign promises to be an exciting one for young Gomez, and if he impresses during training, he could be looking to make waves in the Liverpool first-team in the coming months.
