The 23-year-old is delighted to have the 'big man' back.
Henderson already spent the season before last with Forest, later joining Leyton Orient. The striker is now a free agent, however, and is back on trial with the Midlands outfit - now managed by Dougie Freedman.
And Paterson has welcomed the 'big man' to Nottingham Forest, suggesting he is looking sharp at the City Ground.
The perfect move?
Henderson may well only be with Forest to get his fitness back up but, in the short term, it could be a great move for Freedman's side.
Nottingham Forest need a striker but have Britt Assombalonga injured. Their main threat will hopefully be back to fitness next season, though, making Henderson a fitting short-term option - even if he is needed for the whole campaign.
Paterson, meanwhile, was linked with Leeds recently by the Sun but it appears a tenuous link, even if the 23-year-old could offer the Whites a lot.
With a full pre-season under his belt, the young winger could offer Nottingham Forest just as much, should Freedman see what he is capable of in training.
