Former Tottenham strike prospect Souleymane Coulibaly makes his return to English football.
Crewe face non-league side Congleton Town on Friday night at 7.45pm, as they get their 2015/16 campaign underway.
Coulibaly is currently on trial at the club, and is into his second week of training with the first team.
HITC Sport understands Coulibaly is expected to be involved, and there will also be scouts from other interested clubs in attendance to watch the striker in action.
Coulibaly, 20, is hoping to earn a new deal in English football after a brief return to Italy last season.
He signed for Tottenham in 2011 after finishing as top scorer at the under-17 World Cup for Ivory Coast, and was hailed as the next Didier Drogba.
Currently a free agent, the striker's involvement will be keenly watched on Friday night, while Crewe themselves will be weighing up whether to offer him a permanent contract.
