The defender is highly rated at Selhurst Park, and his reported asking price seems to reflect that.
Crystal Palace have reportedly turned down a bid from Everton for star defender Scott Dann, with the Mirror claiming the offer of around £8 million to be much less than it will take to prise the former Birmingham man away.
The centre back impressed in his 37 appearances for the Eagles in 2014-15, proving himself a key man at the back in Alan Pardew's rejuvenated side.
Dann is a Liverpudlian, and may well be open to the idea of returning to his hometown with the Toffees. But if Roberto Martinez is determined to get his man, he will have to offer significantly more than the reported opening bid by the Spaniard.
In fact, the Mirror are claiming Palace are so opposed to the idea of selling Dann that it would take an offer of nearly double the £8 million discussed in order for them to even consider selling.

The 28-year-old was a vital member of the Eagles' defence last season, posting some of the best figures at the club for effective clearances, winning aerial duels and winning possession in the defensive third.
Everton actually finished below the Londoners last season for the first time in many years, but are very much on the look out for central defensive reinforcements after Sylvin Distin's departure from the club left the Toffees with just Phil Jagielka and John Stones as established options in that area of the pitch.
