The ex Wigan Athletic midfielder has been rewarded with a new deal after his impressive form last season.
Crystal Palace fans were delighted with the news on Tuesday that midfielder James McArthur had signed an improved contract extension at Selhurst Park.
Having only joined last summer, the Scot proved himself a vital part of Alan Pardew's improving side on the way to making 33 appearances and scoring two goals.
The former Wigan and Hamilton midfielder has committed to the Eagles for another four years, putting to bed the rumours that he could hook up with former Accies teammate Alex Neil, who is now in charge at Norwich, that had surfaced in the Star.
Delighted to have signed a new deal to keep me at the club for 4 more years. Hope it's as good if not better than last year #CPFC— James Mcarthur (@jamesmcarthur16) July 7, 2015
Some Palace fans were delighted with the prospect of the 27-year-old being joined by the reported arrival of French international Yohan Cabaye, with PSG said to have agreed a fee with the Selhurst Park outfit on Tuesday evening according to the Mail.
