West Ham United transfer round-up: Two strikers lined up, playmaker deal close

The latest selection of news concerning West Ham United.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham have lined up deals to sign two strikers, with Seydou Doumbia and Mattia Destro seen as attacking reinforcements.

Roma are looking to get players off their books so as to fund a move for Edin Dzeko, and Doumbia is available for loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Destro has also been the target of transfer interest from the Hammers as well, but he is also in talks with Monaco, and is said to be waiting on interest from Fiorentina before deciding where his future lies.

Also according to the Daily Mail, West Ham have reportedly agreed a deal to sign long-term transfer target Manuel Lanzini on a season-long loan deal from Al-Jazira.

The 22-year-old playmaker has been in the Hammers’ sights since last year, but he opted to move to the UAE ahead of the Premier League last summer, but is now closing in on a move to the Boleyn Ground.

Spanish publication ABC have claimed that Vicente Iborra is a target for West Ham, with the defensive midfielder impressing for Sevilla in recent years.

West Brom and Southampton are also stated as showing an interest in the 27-year-old defensive midfielder, although there are no references as to how far along negotiations are to bring him to England.
