Newcastle United are linked with signing Albanian international Ergys Kace.

Newcastle United are interested in signing Albanian midfielder Ergys Kace, report The Sun.

Kace currently plays for Greek side PAOK and The Sun report he is available for £2 million.

Newcastle are yet to make any signings this transfer window despite being linked to a multitude of strikers and wingers.

Who is Kace and what can he bring to Newcastle?

Kace is only 21-years-old and is a central midfielder. He has 11 international caps for Albania already, and has a cotnract at his current club until 2017.

He recently became a national hero after scoring the winner for Albania in a recent international against France, which you can see below. This goal came from a set piece, one of his particular strengths.

Slight in size, Kace is a defensive player, who was at the centre of a battle between his country and Greece, who had hoped he would play international football for them.

In late June he was linked by Turkish website Haber TS with a potential transfer to Super Lig side Trabzonspor.
