Agent: Iker Casillas wants to leave Real Madrid for Porto

The Spanish goalkeeper’s representative has confirmed that the custodian is interested in leaving his boyhood club.

Iker Casillas’ agent has confirmed that the long serving goalkeeper wants to leave Real Madrid this summer and desires a transfer to Porto, as per Record.

The Spain international’s future at his boyhood club has been a point of contention, with the World Cup winner not showing the same form that he displayed in his stunning early career.

Casillas’ agent Carlo Cutropia has only added more speculation over his client’s future by confirming that a switch to the Portuguese giants is what all parties concerned want.

“Iker is interested in Porto and Porto are interested in Iker. We hope Madrid facilitate his departure,” the representative told Record.

Casillas’ impending departure will only add to the rumours linking Manchester United’s David De Gea with a move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

The Old Trafford custodian has been in sparkling form of late and is originally from Madrid, albeit spending eight years on the books of Real’s cross-town rivals Atletico.

As such, The Guardian claim that Rafa Benitez’s men will try to sow up a deal for De Gea as Casillas’ long-term replacement, with potential for this to happen ahead of next season.

The former Atletico Madrid man has been reluctant to pen a new deal at Old Trafford and as such a chain reaction could well follow Cutropia’s comments.
