A latest selection of transfer news concerning West Ham United.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the Hammers are still at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war, as both Sunderland and Middlesbrough want to sign Stewart Downing.

The 30-year-old winger, who impressed last season playing as a number 10 in midfield, has been the target for both North Eastern clubs, with the Hammers surprised at the bidding from Boro especially.

The report states that the Championship side are willing to splash out on a four-year deal worth £55,000-per-week, on top of a £6 million transfer offer to West Ham, which the Hammers are said to willing to accept.

Also, TMW have claimed that West Ham lead the race to sign Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus, despite Everton attempting to move for him. The Hammers are set to hold talks with the central defender, and are hoping to wrap up a deal in the coming days.

The Hammers have been handed a boost in the race to sign one of their transfer targets this summer, with Le Parisien claiming that Yohan Cabaye is keen on a move to the Boleyn Ground.

The report claims that Crystal Palace have submitted an offer for the talented former Newcastle midfielder, but he is pushing for a move to East London, with West Ham also making contact concerning his signing.
