Former West Bromwich Albion, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has joined Birmingham City.

Tomasz Kuszczak has taken to social networking site Twitter after signing a contract with Birmingham City.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper has joined the Championship outfit on a two-year deal, as reported by BBC Sport earlier this month.

The Poland international is overjoyed to have put pen to paper on the contract and is looking forward to the upcoming 2015-16 campaign.

Kuszczak posted the following message on Twitter, while adding on Facebook: “Very happy to have signed with Birmingham City and become part of a team!

“Always loved new challenges! Can't wait for the first match, but first, our camp in Marbell.”

Kuszczak has been signed by Birmingham on a free transfer, after his contract with Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers ran out.

The veteran goalkeeper spent most of the 2014-15 campaign with Wolves as cover for the injured Carl Ikeme.

Kuszczak is an experienced goalkeeper who has played for the likes of West Brom, United and Brighton & Hove Albion in his career.

Birmingham finished 10th in the Championship table last season with 63 points from 46 matches.
