Report outlines current status of Yohan Cabaye’s alleged move to Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace, Southampton and West Ham United are reportedly interested in former Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

Talks between former Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye and Crystal Palace are going well, according to ESPN.

Cabaye is on the books of French club Paris Saint-Germain at the moment, having left Newcastle in January 2014.

ESPN claims that Palace are interested in signing the France international this summer, and that negotiations between them and the 29-year-old’s representatives are going well.

Other interested clubs

Palace are not the only Premier League club interested in Cabaye, though.

According to The Mirror, Southampton are interested in signing the former Lille star, while the same British newspaper recently reported that West Ham United want him this summer.

Good signing?

Cabaye would be a good signing for any club if he does opt to return to the Premier League.

The 29-year-old established himself as one of the better central midfielders in England during his time at the Magpies, but he has struggled to play regularly for PSG since his move to the Ligue 1 outfit.

Cabaye knows the Premier League inside out and would not need any time to settle in, although his age (29) could be a factor.
