Report: Manchester United defender Rafael linked with Premier League exit

Manchester United’s Brazilian full-back Rafael could be heading for the Old Trafford exit with the likes of Galatasaray and Napoli linked.

The Manchester United exodus could be set to continue apace with defender Rafael the latest big name to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

According to a report from the Manchester Evening News, manager Louis van Gaal has deemed the Brazilian surplus to requirements.

The Dutchman could now look to sell the 24-year-old, who is valued at around £10 million, according to the news source.

It would bring an end to his seven-and-a-half year stay with the Premier League giants, having joined the club alongside twin brother Fabio.

Fabio has already left Old Trafford and is currently plying his trade with Cardiff.

Rafael is more likely to head abroad according to MEN with Galatasaray, Fiorentina and Napoli all named as interested parties.

The full-back made just 10 Premier League appearances last term.

A star for Brazil at youth international level, he has so far earned two caps for the Selecao senior side.
