Just two days ago, Catalan outlet Sport reported that even though he recently penned a new contract with Barcelona, continuing uncertainty about his role in the team, had lead to Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool making formal enquiries for Pedro Rodrigues.
Now in the Monday morning print edition of Sport, whilst leading on the continued speculation over Arda Turan and the possibility of him leaving Atletico Madrid for Barcelona, there was an interesting sub-heading and story updating on the Pedro situation.

"Pedro communicates that he wants to stay at Barça" - reads the headline on the front cover, detailing additionally that the 27-year-old forward has no intentions of leaving the Camp Nou this summer, having assured his club he wants to stay for at least one more season.
Although he would certainly be a strong addition to the ranks of both Arsenal and Liverpool, for now at least, it seems they will have to focus their attentions elsewhere.
Of course, speculation linking Pedro with interest from Liverpool and particularly Arsenal, has been ongoing for many months, although neither club are actually thought to have officially made offers to Barcelona, in order to take their interest to the next level.
Needless to say, with the stiff competition Pedro has for a starting role with Barcelona, unless manager Luis Enrique is planning any drastic changes in plans during the 2015-16 campaign, the Spain international will once again face being backup to the 'MSN' trio of Messi, Suarez and Neymar.
It appears Pedro is content to play a supporting role with the treble winners, although during the 2014-15 season, he still made a total of 50 appearances, 22 of which were in the starting eleven. This would suggest he feels there's plenty he can continue to offer Barcelona.
