Nabil Bentaleb signs new five-year deal with Tottenham

The Algerian’s contract situation had been the subject of conflict several weeks ago.

Nabil Bentaleb’s future has now been resolved after signing a five-year deal with Spurs, as confirmed on the club's official site.

The 20-year old had spoken to the media a few weeks back about his frustrations over the delay in getting the deal over the line but all parties have now reached an agreement.

It comes as good news to Spurs fans amid reports of interest from Juventus and PSG, by the likes of the Daily Mail, last month.

Future Captain?

The midfielder has already blossomed into an established talent in one of the most testing positions for younger players, and his potential is up there amongst the best of his age in Europe.

Spurs fans will be hopeful this deal ensures a long stay at White Hart Lane, with the player demonstrating all the necessary attributes of a future captain.

His new deal comes hours after the contract extension of fellow academy product Harry Winks, as per the official site, suggesting the Spurs midfield is in good hands for a few years yet.
