Former Sunderland, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest player Greg Halford has joined Rotherham United.

Former Nottingham Forest player Greg Halford has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at joining Rotherham United.

The 30-year-old has joined the Millers on a free transfer after being released by Championship rivals Forest at the end of the 2014-15 season.

Halford is Rotherham’s seventh signing of the summer so far, and follows Aidy White, Joe Mattock, Lewis Buxton, Emmanuel Ledesma, Danny Collins and Tom Thorpe to the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Former Reading and Portsmouth man Halford is one of the most versatile players in the game.

Halford can play at right-back, at centre-back, in central midfield, on the right of midfield, and as a striker.

The former Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers player is happy to have joined Steve Evans’s side, and has assured the fans that he will give his all for the club.

Forest fans also took to Twitter to have their say on Halford joining Rotherham after three years at the City Ground.
