Reported Newcastle and Sunderland target Georginio Wijnaldum tweets his plan for tomorrow

PSV Eindhoven

Newcastle United, Sunderland, West Ham United, Swansea City and Southampton have all been linked with PSV’s Georginio Wijnaldum.

PSV midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his excitement at the prospect of returning to pre-season training tomorrow.

The Netherlands international has been on holiday for the past few weeks, and he seems to be looking forward to getting back to business.

Interested clubs

Wijnaldum has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, with Premier League duo Newcastle United and Sunderland claimed to be interested in his services.

According to a report in The Daily Mail last month, the two North-East clubs want to sign the 24-year-old, while Premier League rivals West Ham United, Swansea City and Southampton could also be interested (as per the same report).

Good signing

Wijnaldum is one of the better players in the Eredivisie and helped PSV win the league title last season.

The former Feyenoord midfielder scored 14 goals and created 41 chances in 33 Eredivisie games during the 2014-15 season.

The 24-year-old had a pass accuracy of 84% and a shot accuracy of 54%, and won 17 headers, 63 dribbles and 26 tackles.
