Manchester United are holding talks with Torino over Matteo Darmian, claim The Sun.
The Italian international right-back is valued at £14 million, the report states.
Darmian, 25, has 13 caps for his country and has been at Torino since 2012 when he signed from Palermo for just £1.25 million.
Talksport reported last month that the full-back was even interesting German champions Bayern Munich, along with Arsenal.
Darmian is being considered as an option to compete with and potentially replace Rafael da Silva at Old Trafford, although there are no suggestions the Brazilian is to be sold.
He failed to convince boss Louis van Gaal last season, and was often left out for Antonio Valencia, who at times showed quite clearly why his natural position is not right-back.
United had been expected to show an interest in Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne but stood by and allowed the England international to join Liverpool instead.
Their reported interest in Matteo Darmian could just be the reason why.
