Don Hutchison reacts furiously on Twitter to reports Cabaye could join Palace

The former West Ham midfielder and life-long Newcastle United supporter will not be happy if the midfielder joins Crystal Palace.

Former West Ham United man and life-long Newcastle supporter Don Hutchison has reacted furiously to the idea Yohan Cabaye could join Crystal Palace this summer.

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish recently confirmed to talkSPORT that the south London side are indeed pursuing the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder. West Ham, however, have been reported by many to be battling Palace for Cabaye - including the Daily Telegraph.

As a former midfielder with the Hammers, Hutchison may be even more frustrated if the Frenchman ends up at Selhurst Park.

But the pundit is mainly furious on behalf of Newcastle fans, going as far as to suggest the Magpies board need to be removed if Cabaye joins Crystal Palace.

The 29-year-old became a hero at St James' Park, with many of Newcastle's woes beginning when the playmaker was sold to PSG. Now that there is the possibility of him rejoining the Premier League, Steve McClaren's side are yet to sign a single player this summer...

The fact former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew could be the one luring the France international to south London will no doubt irk Hutchison even more, although Crystal Palace being a 'smaller club' doesn't look like it counts for much any longer...
