The Czech Republic man has not played since 2013.
But will they be able to rely on one man already at the club?
The player in question is Czech Republic attacker Libor Kozak.
Kozak arrived at the club from Lazio in the summer of 2013. He cost them £7 million, according to the BBC, and arrived at the club as the top scorer from the previous season’s Europa League.
But in the two seasons since he has barely made an impact, largely due to injuries.
He broke his leg in January 2014 and has therefore not played a game for the club since December 2013.
He returned to training in March and will now surely be hoping to get into first-team action for the new season.
Does Kozak have a Villa future?
The Czech is undoubtedly a talented option. He scored five goals in his 18 games for Villa before his injury and there was a reason why Paul Lambert splashed out £7 million on the player.
He has been out of action for a very long time, but there is no doubt that Villa should give him a chance next season, fitness permitting.
