Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Sanchez's Copa America final performance

Chile won the Copa America but what did Arsenal fans think of Alexis Sanchez's performance?

Arsenal and Chile player Alexis Sanchez ended a brilliant individual campaign with a moment few players would have the audacity (or the confidence) to even attempt, winning the Copa America final with a cheeky penalty to end the shoot-out after the game had finished 0-0 following extra-time.

Sanchez would not have had that chance if Argentina’s Gonzalo Higuain had his scoring boots on, but not for the first-time the front-man failed to deliver on the biggest stage, leaving Sanchez and his Chile teammates to celebrate a famous victory.

Sanchez enjoyed a fine debut campaign at the Emirates Stadium, scoring 25 goals and providing 12 assists in 52 matches.

It was a long albeit rewarding domestic campaign, but it did not end with Arsenal’s FA Cup triumph, Sanchez instead seeing his season extended until early July.

But now, with the Copa America safely secured, all those efforts were clearly worth it.

After the final we took to Twitter to see what Arsenal fans thought of their star’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
