The Reds forward believes the teenager can go on to do 'anything.'
Indeed, the 33-year-old forward, whose own future on Merseyside is less clear, believes Ibe can go on to achieve anything he wants if he continues down his current path.
The 19-year-old spent some of last term on loan at Derby County in the Championship, before being recalled to Liverpool and producing some fine form in the Premier League. Ibe still has some way to go but Lambert has been mightily impressed by the youngster thus far.
Asked for his one to watch next season, the Liverpool forward told Sky Sports: "The one which everyone is noticing now is Jordon.
"The progression I've seen from him in the last six months is frightening really. And, if he carries on going, he'll be able to do anything."
However the Raheem Sterling saga unfolds, it's looking more and more doubtful the young winger can become the Liverpool hero his early rise to prominence suggested.
Enter Jordon Ibe...
Many have already commented that the 19-year-old's potential could see him outshine Sterling with time and, considering the lack of depth in Liverpool's squad, Ibe could become one of the side's leading stars in the coming months and/or years.
Especially as his progression has been so 'frightening.'
