Inter Milan are considering making a cash plus player offer for Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela, according to Calciomercato.com.
It has been reported by the Italian news outlet that Italian giants Inter are open to including Xherdan Shaqiri in a deal to sign Argentina international Lamela this summer.
Switzerland international winger Shaqiri moved to the Nerazzurri from German giants Bayern Munich in the January transfer window, but it seems that coach Roberto Mancini does not want him any more.
Should Tottenham accept Inter’s offer?
A cash plus player offer does indeed sound good for Lamela, who has been largely average over the past two years he has been in the Premier League.
However, Shaqiri himself has not been playing well in recent years despite showing abundance of promise prior to his move to Bayern from FC Basel in 2012.
Tottenham should maintain faith in Lamela for one more season at least, especially if in return they are getting a player who is out of form and without Premier League experience.
