Celtic slumped to a rather surprise defeat in a pre-season friendly earlier today.

The Scottish Premiership champions were expected to win against Dukla Prague at St Mirren Park, but they went down 5-3.

It was a hugely entertaining game, though, with midfielder Marek Hanousek stealing the show for Dukla with a hat-trick.

Leigh Griffiths (penalty), Gary Mackay-Steven and Virgil van Dijk were on target for Glasgow outfit Celtic.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila will not be overly worried with his team’s defeat, but he still had a glum look on his face during the game, as shown in the photo above.

This was only a pre-season game, and defeats such as this are common enough. What is important for the Bhoys is that they learn from it and do not make the same mistake in the next match.

Celtic’s next pre-season friendly game is against Spanish club Real Sociedad next Friday, as the Hoops continue their preparations for the Champions League qualifiers.
