One of Tottenham Hotspur's new additions was involved in training on Saturday morning.
The 24-year-old signed from Burnley in a £3.5million deal earlier this summer and he is getting down to business in an attempt to ensure he starts the new campaign as the club’s first-choice right-back.
In truth that should not be in question, given that Trippier was an ever-present in the league for Burnley last season and impressed on a consistent basis. But with Kyle Walker, DeAndre Yedlin and Eric Dier all able to play in that position, Tottenham’s new arrival will have to work hard from the outset.
Trippier came through the ranks at Manchester City but he failed to make his senior breakthrough at the Blues and moved permanently to Burnley, where he went on to feature 185 times for the first-team.
Now the player has started a new chapter of his career at Tottenham, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side eager to get back into the top four and challenge for silverware next season.
That is easier said than done, but with a consistently impressive player like Trippier in their ranks, it is certainly a step in the right direction.
