Tottenham linked Yevhen Konoplyanka has signed for Sevilla.
Konoplyanka was a free agent after his Dnipro contract expired at the end of June, and had been one of the most sought after attackers in Europe.
Sevilla's agreement is subject to the winger passing a medical, which will take place over the coming days, and he will sign a four-year-deal.
He could have been a smart addition for the club, but having been linked on-off since January, at least fans know now one way or another that there is a resolution, and focus should turn to other targets.
Konoplyanka featured against Sevilla in the Europa League Final, finishing on the losing side, but impressed against Tottenham in the same competition a year earlier. The 24-year-old has 45 caps and 10 goals for Ukraine, and scored eight goals and provided seven assists for Dnipro last season.
The reaction from supporters to the winger clinching an agreement with Sevilla was mixed. Here is a look at what Tottenham fans had to say via Twitter...
Konoplyanka, Shaqiri & Cabaye all available for a combined £22M and we go in for none of them… #THFC— Ari Hotspur (@AriHotspur) July 3, 2015
So Konoplyanka is off to Sevilla . . . MEEHH! Wasn't overly bothered about him anyway! Xherdan Shaqiri should have been on our radar! #THFC— John Hall (@JohnHall1985) July 3, 2015
