Teddy Sheringham has told Sky Sports that Harry Kane should remain at Tottenham Hotspur for the 2015-16 campaign.
Former United and Tottenham striker Sheringham believes that Kane should not switch clubs this summer.
“I think it would be the right move for him to stay at Tottenham and have another steady season and keep doing what he was doing last year,” the former West Ham United and Nottingham Forest striker told Sky Sports this morning.
"That would be perfect for his development as a footballer, I would say."
Should Harry Kane join Manchester United this summer?
Kane enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2014-15, scoring 21 goals and creating 27 chances in 34 Premier League appearances.
The youngster is a key player for Spurs, and he needs to have another good season before he starts thinking about leaving White Hart Lane.
At Tottenham, Kane is guaranteed regular starts and also has the support of the fans. The 21-year-old is settled at the North London outfit, and he needs to take a steady approach regarding the future.
Joining United will certainly be a step-up for Kane, but after just one good season the youngster is not ready for that move.
