The Tottenham Hotspur duo have arrived for pre-season. They will hope for better this time around.
Indeed, the duo joined the north London club last summer but failed to impose themselves on Mauricio Pochettino's first team in their first year with the side.
Vorm was kept out by goalkeeper in Hugo Lloris - which he can't exactly be blamed for - but his lack of match practice led him to underwhelm when he was given rare chances.
Most notable was his error against Leicester City that ultimately knocked Spurs out of the FA Cup.
And the same applies for Ben Davies, only more so. Yes, the Welshman had a genuine shot at securing the left-back slot at Tottenham and was very much brought in to do so.
In the end, however, Danny Rose improved and improved and didn't leave Davies with a chance. But it also had plenty to do with the 22-year-old producing disappointing form of his own for Spurs.
This term, though, both Vorm and Davies have the chance for a fresh start. So, even if those above them in the pecking order produce, they can make an impression by doing their utmost themselves.
