Mousa Dembele says he will speak to Mauricio Pochettino about his future

Mousa Dembele has been linked with a move from Tottenham Hotspur to Premier League rivals Chelsea this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has told The London Evening Standard that he plans to speak to head coach Mauricio Pochettino about his future.

The Belgium international is on holiday at the moment, and he has said that he will hold talks with Pochettino once he returns for pre-season training later this month.

"After my holidays, I'll talk to the boss about my future at Spurs,” Dembele told The London Evening Standard. “We will see.”

Dembele has been linked with a move away from North London outfit Tottenham this summer.

According to The Sun, Chelsea are interested in signing the midfielder and are ready to pay as much as £12 million for his services.

The former AZ star been on the books of Spurs since 2012 and has a contract until June 2017, according to

Dembele is a versatile midfielder, but he is not guaranteed a place in Spurs head coach Pochettino’s starting line-up.

In the 2014-15 season, the former Fulham man could feature in 26 Premier League games, scoring one goal and creating 22 chances in the process.

Dembele had a pass accuracy of 89% and a shot accuracy of 33%, and won 20 headers, 36 dribbles and 20 tackles.

Moving to Chelsea will be a step-up for the former Fulham midfielder, but he is also likely to struggle for regular playing time at Stamford Bridge.

The former Willem II man will be seen as a cover at Chelsea, although his versatility will be a boon to the Blues.
