Gary Lineker reacts on Twitter to Chelsea signing Radamel Falcao on loan

Radamel Falcao

Former Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao has joined Chelsea on a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Radamel Falcao’s move to Chelsea.

The Colombia international striker has joined the Blues on a season-long loan deal from Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.

The 29-year-old featured on loan for Manchester United last season, but he struggled to make an impact.

In 26 Premier League appearances during the 2014-15 campaign, Falcao could score just four goals and managed to create only 18 chances.

The former Atletico Madrid star had a pass accuracy of 86% and a shot accuracy of 55%, and won 19 headers, 13 dribbles and nine tackles.

Lineker finds Falcao’s loan move to Chelsea “interesting” and has given his take on the transfer.

Good signing?

Falcao has struggled with injuries and poor form for over a year now, but he is a hugely talented player who was the best striker in the world when he was at Atletico.

The former FC Porto is not going to be the first-choice striker at Chelsea, of course, but if he is used carefully and played to his strengths, then he could prove to be a very good signing for the Blues.
