Even though Catalan reports have edged Turkish star Arder Turan as being close to a Barcelona move, the player has seemed keen to distance himself from those claims, having previously declared his desire is heading to England and the Premier League.
Meanwhile and as the speculation about his future continues, Chelsea striker Diego Costa hasn't hidden his thoughts, about the prospect of linking up with his former Atletico Madrid team-mate at Stamford Bridge.
In comments to Turkish outlet Bugun, the Spanish international striker declared with enthusiasm: "It would be fantastic if Arda signed for Chelsea."
Costa also outlined what Turan could offer Mourinho's team, explaining: "He makes everything easier out on the pitch and is a great person."
In addition, there was also a more comical reason Costa wants to have his friend and former colleague, playing at the same club, as he mentioned a particular off the pitch skill, possessed by the Turk.
Costa revealed: "He used to invite us often to his house for lunch. His kebabs are really good!"
Joking from Costa aside, the chances of Arda Turan heading to Chelsea this summer are gradually increasing, even with reported interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City, with all three clubs matching the ambitions of the 28-year-old.
Turan is clear that he wants to play for a top-four Premier League club, who are also competing in the Champions League. Atletico will drive a hard bargain though, either demanding his full €41 million release clause, or seeking quality players in exchange.
On Friday, The Times even speculated that Atletico could ask Arsenal for Santi Cazorla, if Arsenal show any intentions of pursuing their reported interest, although The Gunners are unlikely to have any desire to see their Spanish midfield maestro depart.
Meanwhile, various reports in Spain have tipped a possible return to the Vicente Calderon for Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis, who could be offered as a lure towards any deal Chelsea offer for Turan.
