HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Burnley midfielder David Jones is in line for a new deal.
Jones is entering the final year of his contract at Burnley and Sean Dyche is keen to secure his long-term future by tying him down on fresh terms.
The 30-year-old was one of Burnley's stand-out performers last season, putting in a number of impressive displays as they suffered relegation from the Premier League.
Jones made 38 appearances for Burnley last term and he is expected to again be a key man in Dyche's plans as he looks to build another side capable of winning promotion from the Championship next season.
Creative midfielder Jones began his career at Manchester United, but made only four first-team appearances as he struggled to break into the Red Devils’ star-studded midfield.
Jones has also played for Preston North End, Derby County, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic before making a move to Burnley in the summer of 2013 on a free transfer.
