Arsenal transfer round-up: Six to be sold, Lukas Podolski Turkey-bound and Baba linked

A selection of transfer gossip from The Emirates today.

Arsenal are preparing to let six first-team players leave the club this summer, according to The Sun.

They claim that David Ospina, Mathieu Flamini, Joel Campbell, Lukas Podolski, Yaya Sanogo and Carl Jenkinson will all be moved on.

Ospina’s exit would likely be as a response to the signing of Petr Cech. Flamini has fallen down the pecking order at The Emirates after the emergence of Francis Coquelin. Campbell has failed to cement a regular place in the starting XI, despite a decent World Cup last summer.

Lukas Podolski, Yaya Sanogo and Carl Jenkinson all finished last season on loan elsewhere.

Podolski already seems set to be heading to Turkey.

The German World Cup winner is all set for a £2.85 million switch to Istanbul to join Turkish giants Galatasaray, according to Bild.

The popular forward has struggled for first-team football in recent months.

Arsenal are said to be keen on FC Augsburg defender Abdul Baba Rahman, along with Chelsea and Manchester City, according to The Guardian.

The Ghanaian had a sensational season in the Bundesliga last term and is now considered to be one of the best young left-backs in the world.

Chelsea are still believed to be the favourites for the player who is valued at £14 million.
