The 19-year-old has been speaking about his Celtic move.
The 19-year-old was confirmed as the Bhoys' new signing on Wednesday afternoon, leaving 'one of the biggest clubs in the world' in Manchester United.
And Janko has explained why he had to leave United, expressing his desire to secure game time in the future at Parkhead with the Hoops.
SJ: @ManUtd is a big club and I had a great time there but I needed a new challenge.— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) July 2, 2015
SJ: It was difficult to leave @ManUtd because they’re one of the biggest clubs in the world.— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) July 2, 2015
SJ: Celtic is hard to resist and here I’ll train with the first team every day and hopefully get in the first XI.— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) July 2, 2015
As always with professional footballers, it appears the unique factor of first-team football has convinced Janko Celtic is the place to be rather than Manchester United.
Should the teenager go on to earn himself a fixed Celtic spot in the future, he'll be in a far more secure position than at Old Trafford. Unlike other jobs, where money and working conditions are big factors, game time plays a part here - not like an office worker who would be 'playing' all the time, anyway!
Janko, meanwhile, has also set himself the targets of securing both Champions League and international football while at Parkhead.
