According to Mercato 365, Tottenham midfielder Etienne Capoue is set for a medical with Watford ahead of a permanent move to Vicarage Road.
Capoue, 26, arrived at Tottenham two years ago from Toulouse, having established himself as one of the top midfielders in French football.
The France international came with a big reputation, but hasn't lived up to the billing, and barely even featured under Mauricio Pochettino last season.
A summer exit has been expected for some time, and French website Mercato 365 believe that a £5.7m deal with newly-promoted Watford is drawing ever closer, with Capoue set to have a medical with the Hornets ahead of his proposed move to join Quique Sanchez Flores' side.
Having sold midfielder Paulinho to Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande earlier this week, Capoue's exit would be more money recovered from the awful batch of signings made in 2013 - and few fans will be unhappy to see the back of Capoue if he does complete his move to Watford.
Could Capoue come back to haunt Spurs?
Capoue is a big, strong, athletic midfielder who started last season well before losing his place under Pochettino - and regular first-team football at Watford could be ideal for him.
To have played for the French national team, there is clearly talent with Capoue, and Watford could now be the beneficiaries of that with the player poised to leave White Hart Lane.
Spurs will be convinced that they have got a good deal for a player they clearly no longer want, but it would be little surprise to see Capoue get his career back on track at Watford next season.
