Lukas Podolski is braced to seal a transfer to Galatasaray, report German newspaper BILD.
The German international is seen as surplus to requirements at Arsenal, and was allowed to go on loan to Inter Milan last season.
Podolski is set to sign a contract until 2018, and the transfer is set to go through at the player's request despite manager Arsene Wenger's preference for him to stay.
His agent Nassim Touihri told BILD: "We had very good discussions with Wenger. He wanted to keep Lukas, but could give him no regular place guarantee. Therefore, we have agreed to a change."
The 30-year-old did not start a single Premier League game between August and January at Arsenal last season, despite a three month injury lay-off for striker Olivier Giroud.
Podolski signed in 2013 from Cologne and won one FA Cup and became a real fan favourite, but Arsene Wenger remained reluctant to play him up front, preferring him out wide.
The World Cup winner played 82 games for Arsenal, scoring 31 goals.
